17 May Man Dies After His Philippine-made Vape Pen Explodes

Mga higala! A man from Florida recently died after his vape pen exploded and launched two projectiles that pierced his cranium.
According to an article by Inquirer.Net, the man was identified as Tallmadge D’Elia, a resident of St. Petersburg, Florida and the official cause of death released by authorities was “projectile wound to the head”. The explosion of the vape pen also caused a fire in D’Elia’s bedroom and burned 80% of his body.
The said vape pen was manufactured by Smok-E Mountain Mactan vape shop which is located in Mactan Marina Mall in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu.
As of now, the vape shop has released no statement regarding D’Elia’s death.
