Emmanuel “Manny” Dapidran Pacquiao or “Pacman” is Philippines’ # 1 boxer who brought numerous honors for the country throughout his career. He is now serving as our senator and is also an advocate of the Catholic church.
As some of us may know, during the past years he dedicated some of his wealth to build a massive church in his hometown, General Santos City.
It can be recalled that on May 2015, the boxing phenomenon has decided to name it “The Word for Everyone.”

According to details in Mindanao Economic Boom’s article, Pacquiao’s church is 5.7 acres big, replete with a two-story building with a Bible school annex, pastor’s lounge, and even commercial offices. The project reportedly costs around $6.7 million or ₱335 million pesos.
The said church is located at Aparente St. Brgy. City Heights, General Santos City, and was formally opened in October 2017.
“The Word of God strengthens my faith and protects me from evil,” Pacquiao said. “That’s why I always read the Bible.”
