18 Jul P36 Million Worth of Marijuana Burned to Ashes in Butuan
On Saturday, July 16, P36 million worth of Marijuana has been burned in Bonbon, Butuan, Agusan del Norte by the regional officials of Northeastern Mindanao Police Regional Office 13 (PRO 13).
The hefty amount of Marijuana plant has been seized on an operation on June 20 by the combined elements of Loreto and La Paz Municipal Police Stations, Agusan del Sur Police Provincial Office and Public Safety Battalion, Regional Intelligence Division of Police Regional Office 13 (PRO 13) and Army’s 26th Infantry Battalion.
Chief Supt. Rolando Felix said, “Our all-out war against illegal drugs is not only in urban areas but up to rural areas and this will continue without let up until we hit our objective to make this region drug-free in Mindanao.”
According to him, the PRO 13 is solid in its implementation of the “Project Double Barrel,” an all-out anti-illegal drug campaign of the Philippine National Police (PNP).
This enhanced approach by the PNP of countering the use and spread of illegal drugs in the country is part of President Rodrigo R. Duterte and Philippine National Police chief Director General Rolando “Bato” Dela Rosa’s strong offensive approach derailing illegal drug trades.
