LOOK: Marine Protected Area @ Brgy. Bayabas Improves During COVID-19

Mga higala! The Agricultural Productivity Office (APO) recently conducted a Fish And Coral Assessment at the Marine Protected Area (MPA) in Barangay Bayabas, Cagayan de Oro City!

Their inspection showed that the state of fishes and corals in the said area has significantly improved since swimming and other recreational activities were prohibited due to COVID-19.

ICYDK, a marine protected area is defined as any area of sea that’s especially dedicated to the protection and maintenance of biological diversity and of natural and associated cultural resources.
