“Push/Blink” Concert with Carlos Castano at EBar

If you’re looking for some cool music this weekend, Carlos Castano will be performing at the EBar, Pacifico Boutique Hotel, May 28, Saturday. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. There are limited seats so come early. For a P300 entrance you get a free drink plus a copy of the Push/Blink Album. Having released 3 previous albums as an independent artist, this is his 4th album to date filled with original songs and just a couple of covers to tide things over. Carlos is no stranger to the international scene either as he has already played in the Singapore F1 Grand Prix Concert in 2014 beside the likes of Jennifer Lopez, John Legend, Robbie Williams, Pet Shop Boys, and Ziggy Marley.

Summer Pa More Beach Party

The ABS-CBN FM radio station, 91.9 MOR for Life will be holding its “Summer Pa More Beach Party” on May 29, Sunday, at the Apple Tree Resort and Hotel in Taboc, Opol, Misamis Oriental. Those looking for a dance party this weekend can dance away with their favorite MOR DJ’s and dance mix music. It’s a whole day affair that’s totally FREE, and will also feature live bands, a bikini open competition, Sad-sad by the beach, Zumba party, free giveaways, a volleyball tournament, and raffle prizes.

You can listen to MOR to avail of free VIP tickets. Or you can take a groupie photo of 5 and tag @morcagayandeoro when you post on Instagram. You get a chance to win 5 VIP tickets to the beach party on Sunday. The party starts at 7:00 a.m. and ends at 5:00 p.m.

Gil Macaibay’s Strike a Pose 3

If you just want to go to the mall this weekend and watch something, there’s always Gil Macaibay’s Strike a Pose 3 on May 28, Saturday, at 4:00 p.m. at the Centrio Garden, Ayala Centrio Mall. This is actually the culminating activity to the series of Strike a Pose modeling workshops for this summer, now on its third year. Special guest will be Laurence Mossman, actor and singer in ABS-CBN’s Dolce Amore, and a New Zealander by birth. The fashion show is directed by Vincent Aranas and Dennis Almazan, with Robbie Pamisa as technical director. 2 days prior to the show starting on May 26, there will be a fashion exhibit also in the same location.

Meet and Greet Laurence Mossman

In a sideshow to promote Laurence himself, there will be a Meet and Greet Promo Tour with Free Hugs with the singer and actor who is famous for his role in ABS-CBN’s Dolce Amore as well as singing the main theme song to the show. The meet and greet will also include the Olive-C campus models featuring Karl Aquino and Roshson Barman. This promo tour is sponsored by New Placenta Care for Men. All activities are scheduled for Saturday, May 28, and will include:

  • Radio Interviews at MOR – 10:00 a.m. 0 12:00 noon.
  • Ororama Super Center – 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
  • Special Appearance at Ayala Centrio Mall, Gil Macaibay’s Strike a Pose 3 – 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.

Kymco Hale Invasion

If you’re the type who just loves rock performances, then Hale, an alternative rock band from Manila, will be having performances on May 27, Friday, at the Limketkai Center Mall Event Center on the 2nd floor, 2:00 p.m. This is in line with the Kymco-Hale Invasion that will cover Dumaguete, Cagayan de Oro, Butuan, and Bacolod. It will also feature Kymco’s latest 2016 motorcycle models like the Agility 125, Super Z 125, and the Kargador 150. Kymco or Kwang Yang Motor Co. is the largest motor scooter and motorcycle manufacturer from Taiwan. Hale’s mainstream success as a band signed up with Warner Music Philippines is due to their hits, “The Day You Said Goodnight,” “Blue Sky,” “Shooting Star,” and “See You.”
