26 Mar Mayor Moreno Implements Total Liquor Ban In Cagayan de Oro City
Mga higala! Today, March 26, 2020, Mayor Oscar Moreno has issued Executive Order No. 053, s. 2020, implementing a COMPLETE BAN on the drinking of ALCOHOLIC AND OTHER INTOXICATING DRINKS in Cagayan de Oro City!
This is due to the recent numerous reports of residents who are violating the city’s social distancing and other safety measures, by drinking alcohol outside their homes and other public areas, thus exposing themselves and others to the risk of catching and spreading the coronavirus disease or COVID-19.
The liquor ban will include all public places such as roads and sidewalks, and including the premises of stores, restaurants, and eateries all over CDO.
Moreover, this order will be enforced by the Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (COCPO), the Roads and Traffic Administration (RTA), the Regulatory Compliance Board (RCB), and the concerned Barangay Officials and Tanods.
