08 Aug Mayor Moreno Charged “AGAIN” @ The Sandiganbayan With 3 New Cases

Mga higala! Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Oscar Moreno is once again charged with 3 additional criminal cases at the Sandiganbayan regarding his alleged anomalous activities when he was the governor of Misamis Oriental.

According to a report by GMA News, Ombudsman prosecutors filed separate cases; (a.) two counts of violation of Section 3(e) of the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices, and, (b.) one count of falsification of public documents.

Mayor Moreno is said to be accused of taking advantage of his position when he approved an agreement with Earth Tools Development Corporation for the renting of a Vibratory Roller from January 1 to July 31, 2009, amounting to P2.5 million. And, prosecutors also alleged that on January 6, 2012, Moreno gave an unfair advantage to Equiprent Corporation for the lease of its trailer truck worth P26,250.

Moreover, prosecutors added that Mayor Moreno “willfully, unlawfully and feloniously” falsified the signature of GEO Transport and Construction chief executive officer Alex Aguilar in the Request for Quotation to make it appear he participated in the bidding of a contract.
