19 Aug Mayor Moreno Issues Order Imposing Guidelines on Animal Quarantine and Transport Of Products in CDO
Mga higala! Cagayan de Oro Mayor Oscar Moreno has issued an executive order suggesting the imposition of guidelines on animal quarantine, as well as the transport of animal products and by-products inside the city.
Called the Executive Order No. 103, it also includes movement of the following:
- live animals
- pets
- eggs
- wildlife and exotic animals
- newly slaughtered
- fresh/frozen meat
- lechon
- imported meat
- processed meat products
The said order was issued to prevent the possible transmission of animal diseases into the city, like the emergence of the African Swine Fever (ASF) in some areas in the country.
