04 May Mayor Moreno Releases Memo Re: General Community Quarantine In Cagayan de Oro, Clarifies Guidelines & More
Mga higala! Mayor Oscar Moreno has released a memo aiming to clarify and reiterate the Executive Order 112, s. 2020 of President Rodrigo Duterte, which imposes a General Community Quarantine (GCQ) in low and moderate-risk areas of the Philippines, including Cagayan de Oro, from May 1-15!
Below are some of the guidelines:
- The movement of all persons in areas under GCQ will be limited to accessing essential goods and services, and for work in authorized offices and industries.
- Those who are 21 years old and below, 60 years old and above, those with respiratory problems, immunodeficiency, and other illnesses, and pregnant women are required to stay inside their residences, except for essentials and emergencies.
- Work in government offices may be at full operating capacity or alternative work arrangements, based on the relevant rules and regulations of CSC.
- Category I-III Industries will be allowed to operate.
- Limited operations in malls and shopping centers will be allowed. Leisure establishment shall remain closed.
- No hotels and similar establishments will be allowed to operate, except those who cater to health workers and other people stranded and/or affected by COVID-19.
- Physical classes are still suspended.
- Mass gatherings are still not allowed.
