23 Mar LOOK: Mayor Moreno Orders Ban On Motorcycle Backrides, 1 Passenger Limit On Trisikad, & More!
Mga higala! To enforce the Social Distancing guidelines of DOTr against COVID-19, Mayor Oscar Moreno has issued Executive Order No. 052, s. 2020, which prohibits backrides on all motorcycles in Cagayan de Oro City and sets passenger limits on all forms of public transportation!
This order includes all jeepneys, buses, vans, motorelas, trisikads, and more.
Check out the details below:
- Public Utility Jeepneys (PUJs)– should only accommodate half their seating capacity, with passengers one seat apart.
- Taxis– up to 4 passengers only, inlcuding the driver.
- Public Utility Vans (PUVs)– shall only accommodate no more than 6 occupants at a time, including the driver.
- Public Utility Buses (PUBs)– shall only accommodate half of their seating capacity. One seat apart.
- Motorelas– 4 passengers only. 2 persons per side.
- Trisikads– all trisikads should only carry 1 passenger at a time.
- Motorcycles– NO BACKRIDES. Banned as public transportation.
