28 Jan CDO Mayor Moreno Faces Plunder Case Due To Overpriced Classrooms Worth P500 Million
Mga higala! Cagayan de Oro City MAYOR OSCAR MORENO is now facing another plunder case due to the alleged construction of overpriced classrooms worth 500 MILLION PESOS on the year 2014.
Based on the complaint filed last week by a certain Michael James Pada at the Office of the Ombudsman Mindanao, Mayor Moreno is charged with the illegal and unauthorized construction of 508 classrooms costing from P900,000 to P1.2 million each, which is way more than the actual cost of a classroom, based on records from the donated classrooms by the Federation of Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Department of Education (DepEd) and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
City Administrator Teddy Sabuga-a came to the defense of Mayor Moreno saying that the accusations are part of various political agendas against the administration.
