28 May Mayor Moreno Requests At Least 2 Weeks Of GCQ For CDO
Mga higala! In their daily press briefing today, May 28, 2021, Mayor Oscar Moreno expressed that he asked for at least 2 weeks of General Community Quarantine (GCQ) to contain the spread of COVID-19 cases in Cagayan de Oro City!
“Hopefully, ato pa gihapon ning ma-address– with God’s help.
Mao tong nag-ingon ko nga although I am requesting nga i-raise to GCQ ang atong quarantine level, I also asked for bisag 2 weeks to give us a chance, for us to contain the spread,” said Mayor Moreno.
He then added that his letter to the IATF is “more meant para sa katawhan sa dakbayan.”
ICYDK, Mayor Moreno does not want a longer GCQ period since it will affect the jobs of Kagay-anons who need to earn for their families and can’t afford to stop working even amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
