19 May Mayor Oscar Moreno Turns Over New Mahindra Vehicle to City Local ENR

Last May 16, a new Mahindra 2.5cc turbo vehicle was entrusted to the City Local Environment and Natural Resources Office by City Mayor Oscar Moreno. The city acquired the said vehicle from the 10% share of the sand and gravel income. As promised by Moreno, “Gikan sa katawhan, ibalik sa katawhan.”

Earlier on May, specifically on May 2, Mayor Moreno turned over 2 new ambulances to the City Disaster Risk Reductions and Management Office for disaster preparedness during the weekly convocation at the City Hall. Allan Porcadilla, CDRMMO officer in charge, said that a satellite CDRRM office will be constructed in strategic locations especially for barangays bounded in the districts at the east, west and southwest.

Three units of Mahindra police vehicles and a unit of ‘top-of-the-line’ Rosenbauer fire truck were turned over to the City Police Office and City Fire District by Mayor Moreno on May 2. The said vehicles were provided as an initiative of the national government through the DILG. The police vehicles will be assigned at Carmen and Cogon police precincts and Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team while the fire truck will be deployed at Carmen area.
