On its fifth year, Hinuklog of Medina, Misamis Oriental, a streetplay of the Passion of the Christ, will be played during the Holy Thursday and Good Friday on March 24-25.

Hinuklog has been the town’s major event during Holy Week involving around 200 people and visited among different people of any ages and status in life to commemorate and reflect about the death of Jesus Christ at the cross.

The said streetplay has been ensured with sustainability as Hinuklog Council was created spearheaded by Mayor Ken Niño T. Uyguangco. Hinuklog Council is composed by the San Isidro Labrador Parish Church, the Local Government Unit of Medina, the Liga ng mga Barangay (LnB), Department of Education (Medina District) and other sectors in the community.

Becoming Medina’s pride, the municipality patronizes Hinuklog as its locally-owned religious activity. For five years of existence, participants grow by year. Even local parishioners who traditionally go to Camiguin for the past years now prefer to stay in the town to take part of Hinuklog. An evidence that Medina is now competing and advancing.

The local government of Medina, Misamis Oriental is inviting all of the Christianity believers to come and participate in its Hinuklog streetplay.
