08 Aug Meta To Remove Facebook’s Live Selling Feature Starting October 1
Mga higala! Meta, the parent company of Facebook, has recently announced that they will be removing the said social media platform’s Live Shopping (aka Live Selling) feature starting October 1, 2022!
“From 1 October 2022, you will no longer be able to host any new or scheduled live shopping events on Facebook.”
According to their post, they will be shifting their focus to Reels on Facebook and Instagram because the viewing behavior of most consumers has shifted to short-form videos.
However, don’t worry! This will not affect most live sellers in the Philippines since we only use the LIVE BROADCAST feature and not the “product playlist” or “tag products” feature of their Live Shopping:
