Most Kagay-anons today would already be busy for the Christmas season. Some are decorating, buying gifts, or planning parties.

But CdeO’s own boxing warrior Milan “El Metodico” Melindo is now tirelessly preparing for his New Year’s eve world-title showdown against WBA world light flyweight champion Ryoichi Taguchi in Tokyo, Japan.

Melindo targets to duplicate his knockout victory against Akira Yaegashi last May, in Tokyo, Japan.

In an interview with Cebu Daily News, he stated: “Yes it’s the holiday season but I need to work hard and train hard for the future of my career”.

Melindo is currently one of the top boxers of ALA Boxing Gym, holding a record of 37 wins (13 knockouts) and two defeats.

It will be a very difficult task ahead since he will be fighting a taller opponent who hasn’t been defeated since 2013.

However, Melindo is still aiming to win all four world titles in the light flyweight division.
