Military Crosses Critical Bridges in Marawi City Battle Area

Military reclaims critical bridges in Marawi City

In an article from Rappler.com,  government forces crossed the remaining bridges in the battle area of Marawi City yesterday, September 24, that are deemed critical in the ongoing battle against the occupying terrorist groups.

Deputy Commander of the Task Force Group Ranao, Colonel Romeo Brawner, said that Major Generals Rolando Bautista and Danilo Pamonag finally crossed, in more than four months since the siege took place, the Bayabao and the Masiu Bridges that was considered to be a major breakthrough for state troopers.

Three bridges Marawi City namely Balo-i, Bayabao, and Masiu Bridges used to serve as borders that separated the safe zone from the battlefield in the city.

On the other hand, the military continues with its negotiations release the captives held by the terrorists and to proclaim their surrender to the government.
