28 Jul Mindanao Drug Queen and Husband Face Charges For Violating Dangerous Drugs Act and Illegal Possession of Firearms Without Bail

Johaira Abinal Macabuat a.k.a. “Marimar”, former Maguing town mayor, together with her husband Army Major Suharto Macabuat are going to face charges due to violating the Dangerous Drugs Act and illegal possession of firearms without bail. And according to City Prosecutor Fidel Macauyag, the said charges against the couple were already filed in court last July 26, 2016.
Violated by the Macabuat couple was Section 11, Article 2 of Republic Act 9165 or the Dangerous Drugs Act due to possessing 105 grams of shabu and three firearms and ammunitions which were seized during the raid conducted at their own house in Purok 1, Grand Ballon in Barangay Kauswagan here in the city last July 23 of this year, 2016. Search warrants were issued for both Sanny Santican and “Marimar”, with Kate Abinal, Noraisa Sarip, Moamar Taher, Mark Gerald Sindac, Hazem Tambidan and Manot Dutoan also arrested by the operatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)- Northern Mindanao and members of Cagayan de Oro Police Office (Cocpo).
The arrested individuals are currently detained at the city jail facility located in Barangay Lumbia.
