Mga higala! Mindanao is now on a FULL ALERT STATUS due to the recent bombing in Sultan Kudarat that killed 2 people and wounded 37 others.

According to reports, a “full heightened alert” order was issued by Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Oscar Albayalde last Wednesday, August 29,  to all Mindanao regional police chiefs.

Effective this morning, I directed all the regional directors ng Mindanao area to declare a full alert status already. Ito ‘yung tugon hangga’t hindi matapos ‘yung martial law: We will maintain our full alert status in Mindanao,” Albayalde said in a news briefing in Camp Crame.

(Effective this morning, I directed all regional directors of Mindanao to declare a full alert status already. This is our response until martial law ends: We will maintain our full alert status in Mindanao.)

This alert status means that the authorities will be intensifying checkpoints and police operations until threats can be minimized. This would also mean that Mindanao cops would need to double their efforts until December 31, 2018 – the supposed last day of martial law in Mindanao.
