Recently gathered here in Cagayan de Oro are some of the leaders coming from different parts in Mindanao of the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban). As said by PDP-Laban party institute national chairman Cesar Ledesma, the said Mindanao congress was aimed for the strengthening of their organization to boost support for Rodrigo “Digong” Duterte’s administration.

In the gathering, party leaders and officials expressed their commitment in supporting the priority agenda of Duterte, specifically the shift of the government system to a federal one. According to Ledesma, the party is going to reorganize its organizational structure starting from the regional level down to the barangays to front the advocacy on federalism. “The party is very much committed to push the agenda on federalism by the incoming administration of President-elect Duterte,” he said.

Party leaders and members have renewed their allegiance to PDP-Laban as said by PDP-Laban education committee trainor Earl Stanley Whittmer. “We are expecting to become a dominant political bloc under the Duterte administration.”
