Police forces in Mindanao received reinforcement as 70 police operatives from Central Luzon were sent to Cagayan de Oro City last Tuesday, June 27, as an addition to the anti-terrorism troops fighting against the encroaching influence of terrorist groups in Mindanao.
In an article from Sunstar.com, the police operatives were from the Police Regional Office (PRO)- Central Luzon Regional Public Safety Battalion (RPSB) and were deployed to boost police forces in areas that have a long-standing battle with terrorism and threats to the national security.
PRO Central Luzon Director Aaron Aquino said that RPSB personnel are among the skilled and well-trained combatants of their department and he has no doubts that they will be able to do their duties and will prove helpful in maintaining peace and order in Mindanao.
The police operatives will stay in CdeO until terrorist forces will be contained and peace is restored in the war-torn Marawi City.
