25 Apr Miriam Santiago to Suspend Private Armies in Mindanao

During the PiliPinas Debates 2016 at the PHINMA University of Pangasinan, presidential aspirant, Miriam Santiago was asked on her plans and proposed solutions for the wars and terrorism in Mindanao.
She has presented two ways to solve the problem. First is by eliminating the private armies that has been formed by a certain politician within Mindanao. “Yan, nanggagaling sa isang pulitiko diyan na maraming perang ninakaw sa gobyerno kaya kaya niya magbuo ng isang army,” Santiago said.
The second proposal that she presented was through the adoption of the traditional laws of the people in Mindanao.
Based on a report from the Office of Civil Defense, there are more or less 100,000 families that have been relocated since 2010.
