Misamis Oriental Provincial Capitol Temporarily Stops Operations Due To TRO

Mga higala! The financial disbursements and general operations of the Provincial Capitol of Misamis Oriental will be temporarily stopped, to comply with the temporary restraining order (TRO) issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 23!

This aims to prevent the implementation of the province’s Annual Budget for 2020 and is effective until July 19.

According to Atty. Jeffrey Caudor Saclot, this means that all COVID-19 response operations, like the management of Returning Overseas Filipinos (ROFs) and Locally Stranded Individuals (LSIs), the “Libreng Sakay” for NMMC health care workers, as well as the usual basic services for all Misamisnons will be suspended.

The said TRO was issued on account of the petition for declaratory relief filed by Vice Gov. Jigjag Pelaez, Board Member Jessa Mugot and Board Member Jerry Khu.
