11 May Who is Misamis Oriental’s Vice President of Choice?
Misamis Oriental is one of the difference makers in the tight race for Vice President between Liberal Party (LP) bet Leni Robredo and Senator Ferdinand “Bong-Bong” Marcos.
As of May 11, 2016, 6:54 am, 95.36% precincts has submitted their tally of votes and the most talked-about race so far is the race for the second highest position in the Government, the Vice-Presidential race.
Currently, Robredo remains at the top with 13,938,285 (35.1%) votes, while Marcos trails her with his 13,714,697 (34.6%) votes. The lead is now at 223,588. Can the remaining 4.64% of votes that are yet to be recorded enough to lift Marcos up above Robredo? Or will Robredo’s lead just swell into the end?
In our province, here is Misamis Oriental, 99.86% of votes are transmitted and has been counted, which we can consider as virtually done. It is now safe to talk about the stand of the people from Misamis Oriental for the vice-presidential race.
As of 6:54am today, it has been seen that the leading vice presidential candidate in Misamis Oriental is LP’s Leni Robredo, receiving 217,355 votes and trailing behind her is Bong Bong Marcos with 175,765.
The difference of the votes coming from Misamis Oriental is 41,590. While Robredo leads the province overall, we can see that the voters from Cagayan de Oro City favor Marcos.
In the tight race that both Robredo and Marcos are fighting, the people of Misamis Oriental have spoken through their votes and that is favoring Leni over Bong Bong.
Does the Vice President of choice of the people from Misamis Oriental outlast the Senator from the North? That is yet to be known; the remaining 4.64% votes that are yet to be counted will determine who will finish victorious.
