The Misamis Oriental Provincial Government has announced that they will give calamity assistance to capitol workers who were affected by Bagyong Vinta last week.
According to an article by Sunstar.com, Provincial Information Officer Nicole Managbanag said that Governor Yevgeny Emano is also willing to give a “cash advance” to immediately help the employees.
In addition, Emano praised the provincial and municipal disaster offices for being prepared when Vinta hit the province. He was also grateful for the schools that served as evacuation centers and the people who helped the victims of the catastrophe.
Further, the Capitol has also assured the affected Kagay-anons that their needs were already addressed. Food packs will be delivered on time and they are also planning to purchase water tanks to help the residents in Cagayan de Oro with the current crisis.
