29 Aug Cdeo Welcomes Newly-Crowned Miss Cagayan De Oro 2017 Katrina Laurice Acaylar

Last Saturday, August 26, two days before the end of the city’s fiesta, CdeO welcomed and congratulated the crowned Miss Cagayan de Oro 2017, Katrina Laurice Acaylar, who proved that this year’s Higalaay Festival has once again become a successful endeavor in Cagayan de Oro City amidst the issues that the society is facing nowadays.
During the most anticipated coronation night, beautiful ladies from different barangays in the city fought their way in every round of the competition.

Different celebrities and personalities in the country also graced the event such as Miss Universe 2011 3rd Runner Up , Shamcey Supsup-Lee who served as the Chairman of the panel of judges, renowned Filipino designer Fanny Serano, and actress/model Marina Abad Santos Benipayo, all of whom were part of the panel of judges.

Excited supporters of each candidate filled the atrium and showed their love and support to their candidates through a series of shouting and cheers and by waving specially-made banners and assorted colors of balloons.
The candidates did not wait longer and then went straight to their ramp presentation, production number wearing their official swimsuit attires from Coco Cabana, Mags Collection, long gown by Oro Fashion Designers Guild, and the announcement of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd special awards.
