Irish Jane Acuman of MOGCHS Won BSP Inter-School Video Essay Contest

Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Cagayan de Oro Branch and the Orobankers Club, Inc. held an Inter-school Video Essay Contest where a student from Misamis Oriental General Comprehensive High School (MOGCHS) won the first place.

According to a report from Philippine Information Agency, there were 11 amateur student filmmakers who participated the contest.

The student from MOGCHS named Irish Jane P. Acuman won the contest where her entry entitled as “Prosperity Begins With Savings Money.”  

The winner received P7,000 cash prize and a trophy, awarded by BSP officials during their Christmas party held on December 9 in Cagayan de Oro city.   

The second place was given to Chester Lois Telleron Tee of Liceo de Cagayan University with his entry centered on the storyline “Molding Students’ Saving Habits.” He received a trophy and P5,000 cash prize.

The third place was awarded to Queenie Viel U. Bayong of Laguindingan National High School with her entry “Passbook.” She was also awarded with a trophy and P3,000 cash prize.

BSP Cagayan de Oro Branch and the Orobankers Club, Inc. aims to encourage the habit of saving among the youth through this Inter-School Video Essay Contest with the theme “Saving: Molding the Habit (A Student’s Perspective)” which was launched this year.
