Mayor Moreno Asks IATF To Allow Cagayan de Oro To Continue COVID-19 Measures Despite MGCQ

Mga higala! Mayor Oscar Moreno has sent a letter to the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) asking to allow Cagayan de Oro to continue with its current measures against COVID-19, despite the MGCQ this June 1-15, 2020!

In the said letter, Moreno said that they “believe that continuing with the measures we have painstakingly done will be needed to help ensure public health and safety.”

The following measures were emphasized:

  • Requiring people to stay at home, unless allowed.
  • Isolation of identified close contacts of confirmed cases.
  • Quarantine control checkpoints on city borders.
  • The implementation of Brgy Exit Pass.
  • Mandatory wearing of face masks.
  • Strict social distancing in public transportation and areas of convergence.
