01 Jul Moreno and His Confederates Will Take Their Oath Today at Divisoria
On Friday, July 1, Mayor Oscar Moreno and his allies will take their oath at Divisoria.
Together with him, that will be sworn in the event are incoming Vice Mayor Joaquin Uy, Rep. Rolando Uy of the city’s 1st District, and new councilors who are with them in the new city council–Zaldy Ocon, Jay Pascual, Romeo Caliso, George Goking, Reuben Daba, Maria Lourdes Gaane, Teoduldo Lao Jr. and Enrico Salcedo.
Deputy Director for operations and spokesman of the Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (COCPO), Supt. Michael Jhon Deloso said that officers will guard the premises of Divisoria.
Members of the elite Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) and explosives experts with bomb-sniffing dogs are included in the officers that will be assigned there.
The event would start at 6am with a concelebrated mass to be officiated by Archbishop Antonio Ledesma, Msgr. Perseus Cabunoc, Fr. Robert Yap, and Msgr. Rey Manuel Monsanto. Fr. Antonio Moreno, S.J., would deliver the homily.
Moreno and Rep. Uy will take their oath to former Senate President Aquilino Pimentel Jr. While Barangay Carmen’s chairperson, Rosemary Lorna Uy will accept the oath of her son Vice Mayor Joaquin Uy.
The councilors will be sworn in by Moreno.
