17 Feb Motorela Regular Fare in Cagayan de Oro Now Dropped to P5
Following to the City Ordinance No. 11512-2009 and 11670-2010, the motorela fare in Cagayan de Oro has dropped to P5.00. This is due to the continuous dropping of the oil prices.
In the city, the current gasoline prices in average is at P38.00 per liter and basing on the ordinance, regular fare will automatically be reduced to P5.00 as gasoline prices drop to P39.00 – P26.00 per liter.
Motorela fares will be as follows:
- Regular fare – P5.00
- Students/ Senior Citizens/ Persons with Disabilities fare – P4.00
- Elementary Students fare – P2.00
For those drivers who will violate the said ordinance will be given a penalty amounting to P500. So Kagay-anons, if ever your motorela driver is violating the mentioned ordinance, file complaints at the RTA. The public is encouraged to do so.
