04 Apr MUST, MOSCAT Converged to Form USTP
In an article from Philippine Information Agency, the two biggest educational institution in Misamis Oriental which are the Mindanao University of Science and Technology (MUST) and the Misamis Oriental State College of Agriculture and Technology (MOSCAT) have converged into a one big state university; the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP).
The consolidation of these institutions was formally sealed and attended by the university officials, alumni, students, faculty and staff, local officials, USAID representatives and other stakeholders.
The objective of USTP is to be the leading university of science and technology that caters different courses in sciences, mathematics, technology, engineering and applied sciences.
Today, USTP has existed and built its name in Cagayan de Oro City, Claveria, Jasaan, Misamis Oriental, Oroquieta and Misamis Occidental.
