22 Sep It’s Official! MUST Now USTSP with Main Campus in Alubijid, Misamis Oriental

Last July 27, 2016, the Congress approved the Republic Act No. 10919 making the Mindanao University of Science and Technology (MUST) become University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTSP). It was then lapsed into law last July 21, 2016, in the absence of the signature of the President of the Philippines, analogously with Article IV Section 27 (1) of the Constitution. As can be read in Section 4, USTP’s main campus will be located in Alubijid, Misamis Oriental. The said main campus will cover about 292 hectares in Barangay Lourdes in Alubijid which was stated in Presidential Proclamation 739. Read the proclamation here.
The main campus features 3 areas of development namely the academic campus, government buildings and commercial center.
