Mga higala! The Municipality of Naawan in Misamis Oriental has recorded 2 new local COVID-19 cases!
Both cases are identified to have had close contact with Acting Mayor Jaime Roa, the first to test positive for the coronavirus disease in their town.

Naawan Confirmed Case (NCC) # 02
- 39-year-old male, resident of Purok 2, Patag, Naawan
- currently quarantined in a local isolation and treatment facility
- no history of travel, identified as a close contact of NCC-01
- underwent a rapid diagnostic test (RDT) last July 12: positive
- swab tested (RT-PCR) on July 12
- results came back positive on July 14
- asymptomatic
- residence area now under focused containment
- contact tracing ongoing
Naawan Confirmed Case (NCC) # 03
- 57-year-old male, resident of Purok 2, Poblacion, Naawan
- currently quarantined in a local isolation and treatment facility
- no history of travel, but also identified as close contact of NCC-01
- underwent an RDT last July 12: positive
- swab tested (RT-PCR) on July 12
- results came back positive on July 14
- asymptomatic
- portion of Acera Street now under localized containment
- contact tracing ongoing
