The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Region 10 in partnership with the Cagayan de Oro Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Foundation Inc., will be bringing the latest exchange of technology to Cagayan de Oro City with the nationwide Technology Transfer Day at the Xavier Sports and Country Club on September 8 as part of the 26th Mindanao Business Conference 2017.
In an article from Philippine Information Agency (PIA), DOST 10 Regional Director Alfonso Alamban said that there will be a total of 30 entries on display from different DOST-assisted different institutions and investors throughout the country.
Alamban said that the event also aims to support and promote Filipino-made inventions so that businesses in the country will choose the inventions of Filipinos for easier access and query resolutions instead of opting in the expensive venture abroad just to get the latest technology and innovations.
He also urged inventors in academic institutions and professionals in Cagayan de Oro City to get the patents for their inventions as it will make their creations credible when released in the market.
DOST, through the Republic Act (RA) 10055 otherwise known as the Philippine Technology Transfer Act, has been devising a platform that will allow the smoother and faster penetration of local technologies in the mainstream market.
