11 Jan Fake NBI Asset Arrested for Child Abuse
In a joint operation conducted by the forces of Sagay Municipal Police Station and Divisoria Police Station, a wanted person of child abuse was arrested in the vicinity of City Tourism on Tuesday afternoon, January 10.
According to a report from Bombo Radyo, Divisoria Police Station commander Senior Inspector Maricris Mulat identified the suspect as Roel Salise from Camiguin.
Mulat said that originally, the arrest of Salise, who presents himself as an asset of National Bureau of Investigation (NBI)-10, was mandated by the court where he has a child abuse case filed in the island province.
It was found out that Salise introduces himself as an asset of NBI-10 where he is said to be a bodyguard-driver of a mayor in Camiguin.
Salise admits that the child abuse case was true as he was only defending his child who was mistreated by a minor who then filed a complaint against him.
It was said that he is not an agent or an asset of NBI-10 and that he was only offering help to the said agency.
NBI regional director Atty Cesar Bacani said that how Salise acted was against the law and that it surprised them when the police arrested him.
Bacani also admitted that they also fail to prevent the suspect in letting him go in and out in their office.
