03 Oct NBI, BSP Conduct Entrapment Operation For Fake Money Seller

In an article posted by Bombo Radyo Cagayan de Oro, a member of the syndicate who was involved in a money-counterfeiting modus in Barangay Lapasan was nabbed in an entrapment operation conducted by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI-10) and the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) in Cagayan de Oro City last Friday, September 29.
According to NBI Regional Director Atty. Hans Barbaso, the suspect was identified as Charlie Quintana, 36 years old, who resides at Dabatian St., Carmen, Cagayan de Oro City.
During the operation, police officers found bills of fake money from the suspect who admitted that he was involved in the illegal operation because he was forced to do so.
The suspect was charged with criminal cases for violating Article 168 of the Revised Penal Code otherwise known as the Illegal Possession and Use of False Treasury or Bank Notes.
