NBI Confiscates P20 Million Worth Of Hidden Rice In Iligan Warehouses: Owners To Be Charged With Hoarding

Mga higala! 20 MILLION PESOS worth of RICE hidden in 3 different warehouses at Iligan City, has now been confiscated by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI). The owners of said warehouses will then be charged with “hoarding”.

In case you don’t remember, the rice supply was discovered earlier this October by the NBI, packed in 50,000 bags inside storage facilities on Barangay Pala-o. Read our last post:

According to NBI District Officer, Atty. Abdul Dimaporo, warehouse owners Sonia Payan and Chinese national Yang Jiangzhu, from Cagayan de Oro City; and Johnny Tan of Iligan City will be charged with a hoarding case, together with other related businessmen.

As of now, the confiscated rice supply is currently stored in an NFA warehouse. WATCH OUT FOR UPDATES!
