18 Sep NBI Finds TONS OF RICE Being Held @ Mindanao Container Terminal In Tagoloan; Investigation Ongoing

Mga higala! The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in Northern Mindanao is now investigating the Bureau of Customs after they found TONS of RICE from Thailand and Vietnam being held at the Mindanao Container Terminal (MCT) in Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental.
According to a report by Sunstar CDO, Lawyer Alex Cabornay, the head agent of NBI-Northern Mindanao, stated that “The rice shipment has complete documents but customs officials have not released it yet, that’s why we are puzzled.”
Their investigation will then determine if the local customs officials are to blame for holding the rice shipment at the said port.
Cabornay also added that the rice is now being released and will be ready to ship to different parts of Mindanao, such as Dipolog, Iligan, and Cagayan de Oro.
