22 May Caught on video: NDF burns 3 trucks in Claveria, Misamis Oriental

A Facebook video post shocked netizens last Friday, May 19 where the video depicted three burning trucks owned by the Del Monte Employees Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Cooperative (DEARBC) at Barangay D.G Pelaez, Claveria, Misamis Oriental.
In a report from ABS-CBN News, the National Democratic Front (NDF)-North Central Mindanao Region came out and confirmed the burning incident as their own doing. In the same report, they said that their reason for burning the trucks was a form of punishment to the company of Del Monte and other food producing companies that continued to defy the communist group’s intentions.
The trucks were blocked by roughly 20 individuals from the communist rebel group while the drivers and passengers were told to get out of the vehicle and are not harmed.
After burning the trucks, the group fled the crime scene passing through Sitio Dugo-Dugo, Barangay D.G. Pelaez.
Authorities are currently on the hunt for the rebel group and checkpoints are already visible to prevent a possible diversionary attack from the suspects.
