This coming August 17 to 19, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region 10 will conduct a national event showcasing their integrated menu of services and programs to Northern Mindanao consumers and businesses, this event is entitled, “Negosyo, Konsumer at iba pa” (NKATBP).

This breakthrough event brings together the services of DTI closer to consumers and homegrown micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

The event serves as a strategy to promote programs and projects for consumers and development of business through various assistance by different DTI units.

The launching of Negosyo Center and Fab Lab Mindanao will be held at Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology(MSU-IIT) on August 17. This is to give local designers and entrepreneurs the chance to avail the advanced prototyping and production Shared Service Facility (SSF).

Simultaneously at Cagayan de Oro, DTI Region 10 will hold training and learning sessions on Expanding Business through E-Commerce and E-Services, Standard Blitz and Consumer Forum.

Ramon Lopez, Trade and Industry Secretary, will be the anticipated speaker for the opening ceremony. The ceremony includes the recognition and awarding of DTI-10’s best SSF, partner agencies and Consumer Organizations in the implementation of its programs, BAGWIS award (DTI Certified Establishment) and high school students who won the Best Feature story.

Seminars catering to Food Safety Awareness for MSMEs, investment briefing on Policies and Procedures for the Availment of Board of Investment Incentives and Kahimunan Regional Trade Fair, Diskwento Caravan are the highlights for this event.

Provincial Offices of DTI Northern Mindanao are open for those who are interested in participating this event.
