03 Jun New Appointees for LTO, PMS, PCOO Revealed – Duterte’s Longtime Executive Assistant, Christopher “Bong” Go Included
In a press conference on Thursday, June 2, president-elect Rodrigo Duterte has revealed his new set of appointees.
On the top of the list is his longtime executive assistant, Christopher “Bong” Go, who is also tagged by the netizens as the “Pambansang Photo Bomber ng Pilipinas,” for being present in almost every Duterte picture we can find over the Internet. Go will head the Presidential Management Staff.
Ed del Rosario will be the Undersecretary for Civil Veterans under the Department of National Defense. Rosario was once the executive director of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).
Land Transportation Office (LTO) top position will be given to the former police General Ed Galvante. This is the position where most of the Filipino people are concerned of. The LTO is considered as one of the most corrupt agencies in the government. With Galvante manning the post, Duterte is confident that such brand will be done away in no time.
While TV5’s news anchor, Martin Andanar will head the Presidential Communications Operations Office.
Joel Maglunsod will be the Undersecretary in the Department of Labor and Employment. Maglunsod is the leader of Kilusang Mayo Uno (KMU), a group that is considered as lefty’s supporter.
Lastly, lawyer Salvador Panelo will continue in his service as Duterte’s spokesman.
