03 Aug 270 New Cops Receive Official Badges to Join Central Mindanao Regional Office
On August 1, 2016, 270 new officers received their official badges during the rites held at their regional office in General Santos City.
According to Romeo Galgo, Jr, Central Mindanao police spokesperson Superintendent, the said distribution of badges also indicated that the 270 policemen were listed in the roster of personnel of the Philippine National Police.
The new cops are tasked to help local government units in the region to address domestic drug problems, and are also involved in anti-narcotics operations in Central Mindanao.
Currently, the Police Regional Office 12 is studying the deployment of the new officers according to the tactical requirements of the region’s four provinces namely North Cotabato, South Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat and Sarangani, of which PRO-12 area of coverage includes cities of Cotabato, Tacurong, General Santos and Kidapawan.
