28 Mar New Investments Generate P13.1 Billion In Northern Mindanao
Mga higala! A total of P13.1 BILLION has been generated in Northern Mindanao for the 4th quarter of 2018, due to a number of NEW INVESTMENTS in the region.
This is 160.7 percent higher compared to the P5 billion earned on the same quarter, in 2017.
According to Sunstar CDO, the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) said that this can be primarily credited to the “substantial increase” of investments in Misamis Oriental.
The said province contributed over P21.45 billion in the total recorded investments of Northern Mindanao for 2018, amounting to P29.6 billion.
The following is the contribution of some provinces ranked below Misamis Oriental:
- Bukidnon: P6.59 billion
- Misamis Occidental: P877 million
- Lanao del Norte: P577.45 million
However, this total investment is 11.5 percent smaller than the recorded P33.4 billion in 2017.
