Mga higala! New taxi rates are being implemented in Cagayan de Oro City and the recalibration of taxi cabs have already begun in accordance with Memorandum Circular 2017-026 or the Implementing Guidelines For Calibration And Sealing/Resealing Of Taxi Meter For 2017 Fare Adjustment issued by the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).
With this memorandum, the flag down rate of P40 will be retained but the newly adjusted rates of P13.50 per kilometer traveled and the P2 per minute of total travel time will be applied.
BTW, only taxi cabs with the re-calibrated meters can collect fare using the new taxi rates in Cagayan de Oro.
