NMMC Now On “Code Red” Status Due To COVID-19 Surge In Region X

Mga higala! The Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) in Cagayan de Oro City has recently declared a Code Red Alert Status due to the recent surge of COVID-19 cases in Region X!

This aims to prepare NMMC and its staff, supplies, etc. for the increasing number of new cases.

Below are the measures that will be implemented with this status:

  • 50% functional or operating capacity in the outpatient, inpatient, and operating room services.
  • Redeployment of 50% of NMMC’s total manpower.
  • Suspension of all elective surgical procedures. Only essential life-saving services shall continue like Hemodialysis and Chemotherapy.
  • Further enhancement of critical care capacity for COVID-19 cases.
  • Further enhancement of infection prevention and control measures within NMMC.
  • Further enhancement and allocation of essential supplies required for COVID-19 response.
  • Suspension of limited face-to-face affiliation among Senior Clerks, PGIs, and other affiliates.

These measures will stay implemented as long as the Code Red Alert Status is in effect.
