14 May NMMC’s COVID-19 Testing Facility Finally Receives “License To Operate”
Mga higala! The COVID-19 testing facility of the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) has finally received their “license to operate” from the Research Institute For Tropical Medicine (RITM) today, May 14, 2020!
This was announced by Medical Specialist Dr. Bernard Rocha in their daily press briefing.
ICYDK, their facility currently uses a Gene Xpert: Xpert Xpress machine that can perform up to 36 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests per day.
They are now just waiting for the specialized “cartridges” that are needed for the said machine, in order to start testing.
