20 Oct No Reopening Of Cinemas Yet In Cagayan de Oro
Mga higala! Despite the recent decrease in cases and the reopening of recreational establishments in various parts of the country, the reopening of cinemas or movie theaters and other businesses will not be considered yet in Cagayan de Oro City!
According to Dr. Ted Yu Jr. of the City Health Office (CHO), this is because the city is still under GCQ with heightened restrictions and he is hoping that we can still reduce our COVID-19 cases.
He then added that the possibility of reopening will increase if we can further lower our quarantine risk level classification.

Moreover, Mayor Oscar Moreno has recently expressed that the city should proceed with caution on the reopening of cinemas and other businesses in order to prevent another COVID-19 surge.
