05 May NorMin Shuts Borders as Luzon Shifts to a Relaxed Curfew
As some areas in Luzon were reported to have shifted to a more relaxed curfew under a modified quarantine, Northern Mindanao turned to shutting its borders to travelers.
The provinces that comprise the Region 10 includes Bukidnon, Camiguin, Misamis Oriental, Misamis Occidental, and Lanao del Norte.
According to the Northern Mindanao Task Force for COVID-19, the said sealing of borders covers all travelers but excludes trucks and other vehicles that load basic goods under GCQ conditions.
The closure of the regional borders will run for 2 weeks, giving the region enough time to strengthen its efforts in battling against COVID-19.
