25 Jun Northern Mindanao Loses P14.7 Billion Due To COVID-19
Mga higala! The economy of Northern Mindanao or Region X has lost a total of around P14.7 billion since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic this year!
According to Asst. Regional Director Leonila Cajarte of NEDA-10, this amount covers the estimated losses caused by the national health emergency declared by President Rodrigo Duterte and the imposition of quarantine in the region from March 15 to May 31, 2020.

NEDA-10 also reported that some companies have declared permanent and temporary closure while some were forced to reduced their workforce due to COVID-19.
This has affected over 2,000 workers in the region.
