31 Aug Northern Mindanao Police Welcome Duterte’s P2M Bounty For Policemen Linked To Drugs
“We welcome President Duterte’s offer of giving rewards to any individual who could give information that would lead to the arrest of policemen involved in illegal drugs activities,” said Police Regional Office (PRO)-Northern Mindanao spokesperson Superintendent Surki Sereñas last August 29, 2016, Tuesday.
The said Duterte’s bounty offer amounts P2-million, an initiative that will help get rid of rogue policemen from the Philippine National Police (PNP).
According to Sereñas, this new tactic of the administration is going to be effective, for everyone covering civilians and members of the police organization are motivated to provide information to authorities regarding policemen allegedly involved in illegal activities.
The official also disclosed that the list of narc-cops in the region is currently being validated, with the help of the informants to confirm the list. However, he refused to reveal the number of the so-called Northern Mindanao narco-cops.
